Late Kalane promoted humiity stability - VP

Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi was among thousands of mourners who attended the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) memorial service for Ms Mpho Kalane to celebrate her life and bid her farewell in Moshupa on November 9.

Mr Masisi, who is also the BDP chairperson, said that Ms Kalane was a loving and caring person and dedicated to BDP.

He requested other democrats to learn from the late.

He said she promoted humanity, peace and stability.

He described Ms Kalane as a mother who worked tirelessly in recruiting new members to the party.

Mr Masisi, who is also Member of Parliament for Moshupa/Manyana constituency said as a hard worker Ms Kalane helped him win the area.

He thanked Kalane’s family for raising “such a wonderful person who loved the party.”

He added that the late Kalane assisted him with ideas and opinions to develop Moshupa village, citing the expansion of electrification and reticulation of water in Moshupa.

The late was the vice chairperson of BDP Moshupa East ward committee and also a member of committee of 18 in the region.

For his part, BDP secretary general, Mr Mpho Balopi said Ms Kalane was a hardworking person who never failed on her assigned duties.

Mr Balopi indicated that the late was trustworthy and respectful to each and every member of the party.

He said BDP members had learned a lot from the late, as she obeyed rules and the constitution of the party.

He said the party had lost a strong person who was dedicated to the party.

Ms Kalane died on October 31 at Thamaga Primary Hospital aged 46.

She was buried in Moshupa the past weekend. BOPA
