There is only one institutional house for Lekgolobotlo Kgotla and due to budgetary constraints, there are no plans to construct more staff houses in the current National Development Plan (NDP11 ).

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso told Ntlo ya Dikgosi that the ministry, through the department of Tribal Administration, would submit their housing needs for Lekgolobotlo village to other government programmes including constituency community projects funding.

Ms Tshireletso was responding to a question from Kgosi Thebe Makwa of Moshupa Region who had asked the assistant minister if she was aware that Lekgolobotlo Kgotla had only one staff house and if so, when would more staff houses be built.

Responding to another question, Ms Tshireletso said she was aware that the post of assistant clerk in Tsau  had been vacant for almost two years due to non-acceptance of posting by the appointee.

She further said advertisement for the post of the assistant clerk of court for Tsau Customary Court closed on October 23, 2017 and shortlisting and interviews were currently underway and it was anticipated that the position would be filled by December 2017.

Kgosi Munduu of Ngami Region had wanted the assistant minister to state when the vacant post of assistant clerk in Tsau would be filled as it had been vacant since 2015.

Still at Ntlo ya Dikgosi, the assistant minister said Lekgolobotlo Customary Court did not have a dedicated vehicle.

That notwithstanding, she said the Kgotla at present shared a vehicle with Ntlhantlhe village.

Ms Tshireletso noted that in future, funds permitting, Lekgolobotlo Customary Court would be considered through one vehicle per village initiative during NDP 11.

She was responding to a question from Kgosi Thebe Makwa of Moshupa Region who had asked the minister to state when Lekgolobotlo Kgotla would be provided with a vehicle. ENDS
