The Minister of Infrastructure and Housing Development, Mr Nonofo Molefhi has encouraged members of Revelation Blessed Peace Church of Botswana to be committed in building a united church.

Mr Molefhi said this while opening the annual conference of the Revelation Blessed Peace Church of Botswana.

He commended the leadership of the church for their efforts in developing the churches strategic plan.

“This is important for the church as it will guide the level of development in the church,” he said, adding that it was through conferences that they could be able to formulate, amend and approve governing documents such as church consultations and guidelines.

Held under the theme: An Important Pillar Building a Strong United Church of Christ, he said the theme was relevant as commitment and unity were the key to success.

Furthermore, he commended the church’s involvement in charity work, as they had built and handed over a house and donated 40 hampers to the less privileged.

“This is an initiative that President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama put before all Batswana to have a hand in helping rid the country of poverty.

It is a demonstration that you are indeed a compassionate and loving church of God,” he said.
Mr Molefhi also invited members of the church to use government programmes to individually uplift themselves from poverty.

“My ministry has a programme for construction tendering where 15 per cent of all maintenance projects are reserved for the youth, therefore, your youth in construction business are advised to familiarise themselves and see how they can benefit from it,” he said.

Delivering the church’s message, the Archbishop commended the leadership of the church. Mr Tshwaranang Kepaletswe said their church was a spiritual church which was established in 1976 by Prophet Kepaletswe Dichaba.

He said the church has spread across the country and with circuits in South Africa.

He said in the past two years, he has been concerned about the growth of the church, which led to the establishment of a task team to find mitigation factors to the issue.

He said they have engaged every member to also perform their duties which involved recruiting new members and ensuring that all who had been designated to any position to begin to perform their duties. BOPA
