17 Oct 2017
Leader of Spiritual Healing Church, Bishop Joseph Gotladirwang Motswasele has hailed members of his church in Bobonong for refurbishing the church.
He said that was a clear demonstration that they were committed to see the church growing in its mission to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bishop Motswasele was in Bobonong on Saturday to officially open new developments carried out by church members in Bobonong through the contributions they made.
He said Bobonong was one of the important bases of the church where the former spiritual leader, Bishop Jacob Mokaleng Motswasele could not end the year without paying a visit to the village during his tenure.
Bishop Motswasele stated that Bobonong branch started as a small congregation that prayed and praised God in their homes, but today it has grown and was one of the important congregations of the Spiritual Healing Church.
The spiritual leader further stated that in the past, the church did not have structures such as places of worship, but as the church continued to grow, structures were erected which he hailed as a commitment to serve God.
He said the refurbishment and additional developments to the church was a clear sign that the church has a visionary and spiritual leadership.
Bishop Motswasele urged the church leadership to treat people well within the congregation, adding that it was not the buildings that attract people to the church, but the love and respect they get, which ultimately ensure growth of the ministry.
He urged the priest to help congregants grow in faith.
Bishop urged his members to always consider the disabled and orphans and assist them where possible.
Reverend Masedi Badubi said the refurbishment of the church started in 2012, an idea that was generated by the women who called themselves the Big 14, which included ceiling installation, floor tiles laying, painting and roofing of the old church building, which was damaged by winds.
Rev. Badubi also said Bobonong was an important village for their church as their former leader visited frequently.
Branch priest, Rev Lebani Maunge thanked the church development committee for raising funds for the church that amounted to over P137 000.
Earlier, Kgosi Ezekiel Joel of Bobonong said developing the church was important to the entire village as the church institution was important in building families and the entire nation. ENDS
