Govt regrets Mugabe comments

Government has taken note of comments and remarks regarding recent media reports in which Zimbabwe president, Mr Robert Mugabe blames the loss by Botswana’s foreign affairs minister, Dr Pelonomi Venson-Moitoi in a bid for the position of the African Union Commission chairperson on the lack of support by President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama.
“Government has taken note of the comments and however chooses not to comment any further out of respect of President Mugabe’s advanced age,” a press release from the Ministry of International Affairs and Cooperation states. ENDS
