Minister of Agricultural Development and Food Security, Mr Patrick Ralotsia has praised Ms Gasesepe Dinoge for her commitment to the development of agricultural sector at Mogapinyana lands in the Southern District.

Mr Ralotsia, who is also MP for Kanye North, was a guest speaker at Mme Mma Dinoge’s birthday celebrations at Mmalekwa ward in Kanye on Sunday.

She was turning 92 years.

She dedicated 92 years of her live to the betterment of the people of Mogapinyana lands and surrounding areas, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Mr Ralotsia said she was patient a christian and a prominent farmer in Kanye.

He also described her as an elderly living human treasurer who worked hard ploughing to produce food.

He explained that government believed that farmers’ contribution and feedback would help improve agricultural policies and ensure prosperity for all.

Minister Ralotsia further said they have witnessed tremendous efforts being made by Mme Mma Dinoge to agricultural development in Southern district.

“She was not educated, but she wanted her kids to go to school. She was an arbitrator in the community,” he stated.

He added that such output needed all to work together in finding new, efficient and eco-friendly ways of producing food through smart farming.

‘’Motho ga twe fa a gola e nna moloi,’’ said Ralotsia, who is a family friend and also a farmer. He said in other countries an elderly people are condemned to death when they got old.

He praised Mme Mma Dinoge’s children for finding it fit to throw a party for their mother.

For her part, Mme Mma Dinoge, who was well known by the name Mma Ntshekang, thanked her children for making the day a happy day for her.

She said she used to punish her children when they took wrong directions. ENDS
