Pedestrian dies on spot

A pedestrian died on the spot after being hit by a vehicle on September 29 in Makunda.
Charleshill Police Station Commander, Superintendent Lebani Burns said the driver of the vehicle left the vehicle at the scene after the incident, and was arrested on Saturday morning and charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
Superintendent Burns said the 60-year-old driver said he left the scene because he was terrified.
In a separate incident, Superintendent Burns said a 33-year-old Zimbabwean woman collapsed at the Mamuno Border Post before stamping her passport.
He said the woman was pronounced dead at Ghanzi Primary Hospital.
The deceased was travelling to Namibia to join her family. ENDS
