Khama bestows deserving Batswana

President Lt General Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama has on September 29, bestowed honours to some deserving Batswana.
Speaking at the awards ceremony Friday (September 29), Minister for Presidential Affairs, Governance and Public Administration, Mr Eric Molale said the awards gave due recognition and thanks to outstanding men and women who had contributed significantly to Botswana's progres and well-being.
Mr Molale said as reflected in the awardees' profiles, they had contributed to the advancement of Botswana and the society's well-being in a wide variety of fields ranging from sport and entertainment, public administration, politics, community mobilisation, business, teachng as well as arts and crafts.
Among tho who received the Presidential Order of Honour was Speake of the National Assembly, Ms Gladys Kokorwe and Permanent Secretary to the President, Mr Carter Morupisi for the efficient and devoted service to the country.
Kgosi Puso Gaborone was among those who were awarded the Presidential Order of Meritorious Service while the nation's 400m runner, Isaac Makwala was bestowed the Presidential Certificate of Honour. ENDS
