Permanent Secretary to the President, Mr Carter Morupisi has announced appointments, promotions and transfers of some senior public officers.

Ms Lilian Matshameko has been appointed director, regional operations (Chobe District) in the Ministry of Basic Education.

Mr Olebile Mafala has been promoted to the position of deputy town clerk-technical (Gaborone) in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

Ms Ntotang Swapo has been appointed to the position of deputy director in the  Department of Local Government Development Planning in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development with effect from date of assumption of duty.

The release concludes that Mr States Kabasia has been transferred from Gaborone to South East District as deputy council secretary (technical) in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

Officers will assume office on October 1. ENDS
