Batshu to open women in mining conference

Minister of Immigration, Citizenship and Gender Affairs, Mr Edwin Batshu is to officially open the Women in Mining conference scheduled for September 14 at the Gaborone International Convention Center.
A press release from Belle Larissa says the primary target of the conference is to inspire and promote women in the mining industry.
This unique women empowerment conference further invites all women looking to make their mark in any male dominated sector or business.
It further says top international speakers, including some of the Top 100 Most Inspirational Women in Mining and influential local women speakers will be on hand to mentor fellow women.
The release further says the focus of discussions will be on the importance of professional acumen, life work balance, healthy lifestyle, emotional intelligence, ambition and courage, intellect and innovation and many other soft skills necessary to succeed in a male dominated industry.
The release says the conference will appreciate a number of inspiring personal stories such as that of Dr Siza Majola, who has a captivating story about excelling professionally as a young geologist in the South African mines to become a formidable force in the mining industry and she will be part of an international panel who will be sharing vast hands on experience. ends
