Good Hope Mabule constituency has received six small scale machinery under the Poverty Eradication initiative.

Briefing the Sub council session recently, a social worker from the office of the district commissioner Ms Kelebogile Mlobeli said Good Hope -based beneficiaries will benefit from toilet paper machin while general purpose mixer- liquid sachets will be for Ramatlabama, egg trays for Pitsane and Pitshane Molopo will benefit from a pellet making machine, general purpose mixer-soap bar for Mabule while a diamond mesh wire will be for Dikhukhung.

She said the machines were introduced to help reduce backlog of beneficiaries who were approved but not yet assisted.

She said some of the machines have been procured and awaiting delivery.

Ms Mlobeli said beneficiaries have been grouped to run the machines adding that some beneficiaries have underwent training while some were awaiting to be trained.

Councillors applauded the initiative and expressed hope that the unemployment situation in the area will be addressed.

They encouraged departments to help market the products. ENDS
