Support leadership
14 Aug 2017
St Ezkiel ArchBishop Otimile Koanna has implored St Paul Apostolic Faith Mission congregation to support the newly ordained leadership of the church.
Bishop Keonna said this during St Paul’s ordination of ArchBishop Edward Ditau and his assistant Bishop Kealeboga Letebele.
The ordination was combined with the commemoration of the church’s founder, ArchBishop Meshack Selolwane. “This leadership can only achieve their duties and mandate through their congregation,” Bishop Keonna said.
He prayed that the Archbishop and his assistant be led by the holy spirit in performing their duties. “I ask for the angels of God to guide them in performance their duties,” he said.
He condemned those who might oppose them, saying doing so would hinder progress in the church. “Let us not be their opposers,” he said.
The Archbishop commended the congregation for being unanimous and showing a united front in voting for their leadership. “This congregation is very wise, you did this all in unity and as an item, I commend you for that,” he said.
He explained that unlike prophets who were chosen and given the gift to perform such by God, the bishops as overseers were voted by the congregation based on desired qualities.
