Residents of Mmathubudukwane and surrounding villages have been urged to utilise the service centre whose aim is to bring government services closer to them.
Speaking during Kgatleng District Open day held at the service centre on Friday, district officer for development, Ms Maitumelo Maemo said the centre was meant to improve timely service delivery.
She said many government departments had already moved in with more expected to come.
Ms Maemo said the open day afforded residents interaction with several departments on how to access their services.
She encouraged the public not to shy away from visiting government offices to inquire about services.
The open day she said was done quarterly and gave the community a chance to interact with officers in a relaxed environment.
Ms Maemo said the expectation was that entrepreneurs joined in to market their products.
She said with the decision taken by government to empower local businesses through the Economic Diversification Drive, the district would know of services available through such platforms.
In his welcoming remarks, Kgosi Michael Balebetse of Mmathubudukwane said the day marked an important development by government for different departments to showcase their services to the nation.
Different government departments and parastatals took part among them, gender affairs, immigration, youth, fire, Kgatleng district council, Local Enterprise Authority, Office of the President and Re-A-Nyalana Society. Ends
