Residents await land allocation

Chairperson of Mogoditshane/Thamaga Sub-district Council, Mr Ofentse Mafoko has assured residents of Mmankgodi that they would be allocated plots in the near future.
Mr Mafoko, also councilor for Mmankgodi North, said during a kgotla meeting at Mmankgodi recently that 12 000 people were waiting to be allocated land in Mmankgodi.
He also promised residents that he would bring a physical planner to draw the 12 000 plots and complete the waiting list before the end of the year.
Cllr Mafoko told residents that he would address the backlog of developments earmarked for Mmankgodi.
For his part, senior assistant council secretary, Mr Milton Keitshokile said the Sub-district council had bought a grader which would soon start maintaining internal gravel roads, which were in a bad state.
At the end of the meeting, Mr Mafoko donated 33 blankets to the elderly.
Legae La Bagodi organisation also donated 105 sheets, pillow cases and towels.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, Kgosi States Letlole complained about bad roads and the long list of residents waiting to be allocated land. ENDS
