The Faculty of Business at the University of Botswana will host its 4th biennial conference from July 11 to 13 in Kasane.

The chairperson of the conference, Mr Rebana Mmereki said during a press briefing in Gaborone on Wednesday that the conference would provide participants with a stimulating environment for discourse as well as to share research findings and methodological approaches.

The conference will be held under the theme: Transforming and growing economies through sustainable business Innovation.

Mr Mmereki said it would also look into issues of transformation of the economy.

He added that the conference would facilitate the establishment of meaningful collaboration.  “Given the anticipated pool of local and global researchers, we are expecting an intellectually stimulating, inspirational, thought provoking and highly interactive event,” he said.

A member of the conference committee, Dr Shabani Ndzinge said they value interaction with scholars as they would impart knowledge on locals.

“Participants are coming from different areas of the world. What we are hoping to learn from them is their experiences in relation to their areas of business innovation and sustainability, and we will be sharing knowledge and experiences which will at the end benefit us as a country,” he said. ENDS
