Masisi appointed UB chancellor

President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama has appointed Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi, as the Chancellor of University of Botswana for a period of five years, with effect from July 5, 2017.
In a letter to UB Council chairperson, Mr Parks Tafa and Minister of Tertiary Education, Research, Science and Technology, Dr Alfred Madigele says President Khama appointed Mr Masisi in accordance with Section 7 of the University of Botswana Act of 2008.
