A 53-year-old man, suspected to be the chief representative of Mopipi, was found dead along the road in the village.

Orapa Police Station commander, Superintendent Molefe Kebaitse said the deceased was found lying along the Letlhakane-Maun road Oon July 29. The deceased was certified dead the same day.

Supt Kebaitse said investigations were ongoing to establish the cause of death.

He said investigations involving those close to the deceased were being conducted as well as with those who were in his company the day before the incident.

The deceased, he said, was suspected to have been killed as he did not have any open wounds, and only had a scratch above the eye.

Supt Kebaitse has appealed to members of the community who might have information that could assist them on what could have led to the death to contact them. ENDS
