CTO to advice on boarding of BX
05 Jul 2017
Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso says her ministry will engage Central Transport Organisation (CTO) for expert advice on the serviceability and possibility of boarding of the Draaihoek kgotla vehicle.
She said the vehicle was sent for repairs at the Kgalagadi District Council for a gear box problem since June as confirmed from the vehicle tracking system and the log book.
Ms Tshireletso said currently Draaihoek was serviced by vehicles from Hereford, Makopong and Kisa to facilitate service delivery.
Kgosi David Toto II of Kgalagadi South region had asked if the ministry was aware that it had been five years since the vehicle for Draaihoek kgotla was sent for repairs.
He wanted to know if the ministry was not considering boarding the vehicle and procure a new one since service delivery was affected by the lack of transport. ENDS
