Yolo donates blankets

Yolo Motorbike Club has donated 60 blankets and handed them to Bathoen Bird Sanctuary Trust in Kanye this week.
Handing over the blankets at Kanye main kgotla, the club president, Mr Morake Molefe said they had decided to donate the blankets to elders and the needy for winter season to keep them warm.
Mr Molefe said the club assisted the needy and disadvantaged people in the society.
He said most of members of the club were fathers, husbands, wives and friends.
He said members were from all corners of the country and the neighbouring countries including South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
Members of the Bathoen trust appreciated the gift and requested other clubs to assist the community.
Meanwhile, a teacher from Mmathethe Primary School, Mr Maemo Batshabang and his family also donated 129 school bags to five primary schools in Kanye.
Mr Batshabang indicated that recently his family had also donated 15 bags to Mmathethe Primary School and 26 bags to Ramolefe Primary School.
He said they were concerned about some needy students who fail to go to school due to tattered bags and uniform. ENDS
