VP Masisi to give official tribute of Sir Ketumile

Vice President, Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi is expected to give the official tribute of the late second President Sir Ketumile Masire as well as foreign dignitaries and organisations.
Family tributes are given by sister Ms Gabalengwe Koma, sister in law Ms Bessie Raditladi, Sir Ketumile son: Mr Mmetla Masire, grandson Thato Masire, family friend and Bonnington South MP and also UDC vice president, Mr Ndaba Gaolathe and another family friend Mr Malatsi Malatsi.
From sister-in-law's message, Ms Raditladi, Sir Ketumile was the pillar of the Masire family. He was a loving brother and raised his children very well and encourage the spirit of unity among the Masire family. "His children respect us. His death is a great loss to our family." She encouraged Sir Ketumile's children to remain united.
Special interests and work colleagues tributes will be given by farmer Mr Peter Badenhost, Botswana Democrativ Party (BDP)’s Dr Ponatshego Kedikilwe, Tiger Kloof: Ms Shirley Moulder and former colleague, second President Mr Festus Mogae. Chief Justice Maruping Dibotelo is also among the attendants.
Earlier the congregation took prayer of preparation and confession led by Reverend Rupert Hambira.
Trinity Church and KTM Choir also sang 'Hallelujah Chorus' after which Reverend Keleneilwe Kgerethwa, Synod Secretary of UCCSA gave the sermon, paving way for intercessory prayers.
Meanwhile, the memorial service is directed by first born to one of the two younger brothers to Sir Ketumile, Mr Tshepo Masire and Deputy permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development, Mr Mogomotsi Kaboeamodimo. ENDS
