Toropo ya Muka Festival attracts masses

29 May 2017

The much anticipated annual Toropo ya Muka festival filled up the Francistown Sports Complex on May 27 with music lovers coming from across the country to witness performances by A-listers.

This year’s festival that was organised by popular local Francistown based, DJ Colastraw, brought a unique line up that saw the likes of DJ LaTimmy performing his hit single, Nanzala Vuke whereas the legendary, Scar mesmerised the crowd with a string of songs from his different albums.

The brains behind the Tlatsa Lebala music show that was held earlier this month, Kast also graced the event giving a performance worthy of international platforms with his hit songs, Sejabana and Shake your bantuka.

The atmosphere among revellers was that of pure enjoyment and satisfaction as they danced and sang along with performers.

Spectators were still trying to get into the festival in the wee hours of the morning just to get a taste of the very best in the entertainment industry.

Francistown’s most celebrated urban musical festival had a top notch VIP section where fans mingled with many different local celebrities and even took countless pictures with them.

Mpho Mutshekwane of Inno-veb events and promotions management benefited from the festival as her food and drinks stall was packed throughout the entire show.

In an interview with Mutshekwane, she said bringing her services to the festival was a good business deal because the stadium was packed adding that she intended to be back again next year.

Next year, she said she would bring more stock than she did this year because this she did not anticipate a huge turnout for the festival.

As would be expected, a big show of this calibre also attracts nuisances, personal properties were lost, fights broke out and some were injured. It goes without saying that security can never be enough to watch over masses of people. ENDS
