HIVAIDS committee undertakes consultative tour

The Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health and HIV/AIDS has embarked on a consultative tour of health and HIV/AIDS facilities in the Chobe District from May 28 to June 4.
A press release from the National Assembly says the tour themed: "Health, HIV/AIDS and tourism," is meant to have consultative meetings with management and members of staff on issues of operations, welfare, uptake of services in the facilities, achievements and challenges faced as well as touring of the facilities.
The health and HIV/AIDS committee is established under Standing order 117 of the National Assembly and its mandate, among others, is to exercise parliamentary oversight and scrutiny over government ministries, departments and agencies with portfolio responsibilities in respect to health and HIV/AIDS.
