23 May 2017
The construction of Sefhare service centre and the maintenance of Sefhare old clinic are continuing well.
In the interview, Mr Masole Karabo who is a site agent for Giant Construction, the company engaged to maintain Sefhare old clinic, said that they started their work on January 30 this year and expected to complete it by December 11.
Mr Masole however said that his company was engaged to maintain two blocks, build seven staff houses and make pavement among others.
He said with over 50 employees that they had employed, their job was progressing well and they might complete it before the stipulated period.
“Our work is running smoothly and I believe we are going to finish it as early as October,” he said.
Mr Karabo pointed out that only heavy rain that was experienced in the previous months made it difficult for them to do their work.
For his part, GNS Civil Engineering foreman Mr Eddie Adams explained that they were given eight months from November 2016 to June 2017 to build and complete Sefhare service centre.
Mr Adams said currently the building was 51 per cent complete adding that their intension was to meet the deadline.
He said due to shortage of funds for buying all the necessary materials, they ended up starting their job a month late.
Mr Adams also cited rain as another hindrance that disturbed their work especially in January and February.
“We are now working round the clock so that by June we hand the project,” said Mr Adams. ENDS
