Council completes houses on time

The Kanye Sub-District Council has completed destitute houses for the financial year 2016/17 on time, within budget and specification.
This was revealed during the sub council meeting which started on May 15.
The sub council chairperson, Mr Tlhomamo Dibeela said it was a great achievement, adding that they would continue to construct new houses in this financial year.
Mr Dibeela noted that they had been mandated to construct 19 houses in their jurisdiction to empower communities.
In other issues, the chairperson said he had faced challenges on road maintenance.
He said the maintenance budget allocated to roads over the past three financial years stood at P4 200 000 which was an average of 1 million per annum. ENDS
