Majwe mining donates to Hukuntsi VDC

Majwe Mining joint Venture has donated 200 shirts and 200 trousers to Hukuntsi Village Development Committee (VDC).
Speaking during a handing over ceremony on May 16, the company maintenance superintendent Mr Matthews Keganne stated that they worked with the social and community development offices to identify the suitable beneficiaries.
He said as a company they cared much about safety and by donating the personal protective clothing they were extending the safety culture to the village.
He said as part of their social responsibility, they were committed to support local community groups and charities through donations and sponsorships.
Kgosi Merapelo Tshweneyagae thanked the company for its effort of adding value to the lives of the community.
He said his community was blessed to be a part of such generous gesture.
Hukuntsi VDC west chairperson Ms Gertrude Reichelt said she was overwhelmed by the compassion Majwe Mining had shown to the village.
She encouraged beneficiaries to embrace the clothes and avoid selling them.
She pointed out that Majwe Mining had the best interest of residents at heart. ENDS
