President Khama appoints senior public officers

President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama has appointed former Clerk of Cabinet, Mr Ntshabele Josiah Manamela, as a Member of the Public Service Commission for the next three years.

A press release from Permanent Secretary to the President and Secretary to Cabinet, Mr Carter Morupisi, says President Khama has appointed Mr Manamela due to his diligent dedication to serve.

It further states that Mr Manamela retires as Clerk of Cabinet after eleven years and having served the public service in different capabilities for 38 years.

“On behalf of Cabinet and the entire nation, His Excellency the President wishes Mr Manamela continued good health.”

Also as per the release, Mr Morupisi further announced appointments, promotions and re-deployments of senior public officers with effect from June 1, 2017, as follows;

Mr Ontiretse Capen Letlhare is appointed on promotion to the position of Clerk of Cabinet in the Office of the President.

Mr Stanley Mbakisi Makosha is appointed on promotion to the position of Secretary, Rural Development Council in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

Mr Berzack Maphakwane is re-deployed as Deputy Clerk of Cabinet in the Office of the President, from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development.

Ms Oabona Matobana is appointed on promotion to the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Services in the office of the Attorney General.

Mr Gobosamang Bogorogile is appointed on promotion to the position of Manager Facilities in the Ministry of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs.

Dr Thatayamodimo Rammapudi is appointed on promotion to the position of Chief Research Officer, Botswana Public Service College in the Directorate of Public Service Management.

Ms Grace S Modukanele is appointed on promotion to the position of Deputy Director, Budget Administration in the Ministry of Basic Education.

Ms Gaanewe Mogotsi is appointed on promotion to the position of Deputy Director, Development Programmes in the Ministry of Basic Education.
