Electoral commission to conduct EVM demonstration session

Independent Electoral Commission, together with a team of experts from Bharat electronics Limited of India, will conduct a demonstration session on how the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) with the voter verifiable paper audit trail works on May 18 at Fairground Holdings.
A press release from IEC says the session, which is scheduled to start at half past eight in the morning, will be attended by political party representatives, Information Technology experts, political analysts and academics with expertise on information technology, media and civil society.
It further says the demonstration session will offer an opportunity for those with the know how to disrupt, hack and compromise the secure performance of the machines to do so.
It further says those with the technical capability to hack the EVM are invited to come forward and register with the project coordinating unit by the end of business on May 15. ENDS
