04 May 2017

Gabane traditional leader, Kgosi Seeletso Pule has urged the community to take care of donated items.

Speaking during a donation ceremony by private companies at Bodibane ward in Gabane, Kgosi Pule said people should refrain from vandalising community property only because they do not have a hand in the purchase of such items.

“I urge you to care for donated items so that in future people can donate to us because we preserved donated items,” he added.

Kgosi  Pule said donations were  essential in developing communities. He advised donors to continue with the spirit as it builds communities.

He said people should appreciate that community property belongs to every member.

“The community is made up of every individual in society. We are the community,” he said.

He also urged dikosi and VDC members to allow community members to use donated items freely.

Wille Gee transport donated two rest rooms while Outreach Communications donated 25 chairs to the Bodibane ward and 1 108 diaries for teachers to Gasiko, Gabane and Pule primary schools.

Mr Nathaniel Mukwananzi of Wille Gee Transport said leaders of the ward had requested them to help with bricks and cement to build a rest room, but that they decided to cover all costs including labour.

“At Wille Gee Transport we believe in giving back to the community, we don’t just consume profits alone,” he said.

He said the community should not hesitate to seek any help from Wille Gee Transport. ENDS
