Minibus overturns in Moshupa

A minibus plying the Jwaneng/Gaborone route overturned near Moshupa on Tuesday morning.
The minibus was carrying 25 passengers including the driver and conductor.
The accident, according to acting station commander, Assistant Superintendent Joel Sebotho occurred when the driver lost control of the bus and it overturned.
He said five passengers sustained serious injuries and that some were referred to Kanye Seventh Day Adventist Hospital complaining of chest pains, bruises and that one had a fractured left leg.
However, he noted that no fatalities were recorded, but confirmed that some occupants were treated for shock but escaped unhurt while others were rushed to Moshupa Clinic and released the same day. He said they suspected that the driver was speeding.
He said the driver said he was trying to avoid donkeys which were crossing the road when he lost control. ENDS
