01 May 2017

Vice President Mr Mokgweetsi Masisi has applauded Isaac and Associates law firm for donating air conditioners and refrigerators to dikgosi in Chobe district.

The law firm donated 10 office refrigerators and 10 air conditioners on Friday in Kasane following a request by Chobe resident, Mr Luckson Likokoto. Mr Masisi noted that by donating to dikgosi, they were acknowledging and honouring the bogosi institution, which played a great role in Botswana’s protection.

“I implore you therefore to do this countrywide in honouring the contributions made by our forefathers in the development of Botswana,” he said.

He also encouraged them to ensure that the appliances were well maintained and advised dikgosi to take due care of them.

He highlighted that the appliances would create a comfortable office environment, which would allow dikgosi to carry out their customary duties effectively.

Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso applauded Isaac and Associates for meeting her ministry halfway through the provision of air conditioners and refrigerators.

“This complements our effort of equipping customary offices with basics such as internet access and office furniture,” she said.

Organiser of the donation, Mr Likokoto said that the donation would go a long way in fighting off horridly high temperatures experienced in the Chobe District.

Mr Likokoto challenged others to follow suit in contributing towards improving the lives of those around them. ENDS
