Chief executive officer and founder of Moumaine Media, Mr Moitlakgola Masire says Kanye youth expo, which starts on Tuesday May 2, will addresses unemployment by bringing together aspiring entrepreneurs and those who are already in businesses.
Speaking during a press conference, Mr Masire said: “We don’t want to focus only on the youth; we also want to raise the profile of our village as we want to attract investors to our village and let them know that Kanye is open for business,” he added.
Mr Masire highlighted that 50 delegates and 11 presenters had been invited to the expo. He explained that three sectors being Information and Communication Technology, business and financial services would be among the presentations.
He noted that the public was invited to attend as entrance was free. He further said public sector entities such as CEDA, LEA, agriculture department, council and land board would grace the occasion.
The museum is also going to showcase the artefacts that were crafted by Kanye youths, he said.
For his part, Mr Kopano Solomon said business was more about how one could leverage the resources available to come up with something.
He further said marketing and communications was vital for the day to day running of the business.
“We would like this initiative to be held countrywide and since we are from Kanye, we would like to start at home and as time goes on, we will reach other areas. ENDS
