Botswana Society for the Deaf hosts awards

Botswana Society for the Deaf hosted an awards ceremony for their employees recently in Francistown.
Speaking during the ceremony, vice chairperson of the board, Mr James Mathokgwane said the purpose of the ceremony was to recognise and acknowledge the staff of both centres, being Francistown and Ramotswa centres for deaf education.
He said for organisations to be productive they needed employees to be motivated with such awards so they could go an extra mile in their work.
Mr Mathokgwane commended the employees for the dedication they had shown in their work despite the challenges of lack of funds. He further commended employees who had been working in the centres for a very long time.
He encouraged employees who were not awarded not to despair as they still had chances to rise up and be winners.
He also encouraged them to benchmark on other outstanding performers at the workplace.
Mr Mathokgwane also thanked leaders of Francistown for the involvement and the role they played in Francistown Centre for the Deaf .
Along service award recepient from the Ramotswa centre said she was grateful for the opportunity she had as she started working in the centre in 1986.
She said to be able to work in their line of duty, one needed to be passionate and have patience to be able to yields results.
Ms Baleseng encouraged other employees to continue working with the dedication they had shown throughout the years they had worked together. ENDS
