Three day United Congregational Church of Southern Africa synod rally held in Moshupa under the theme; “Ebenezer! With God everything is possible” has come and gone.
Synod convener, Ms Maalakang Samuel said Saturday the annual event continued to bring together the six UCCSA regions across the length and breadth of Botswana; something she highlighted helped achieve the primary objective of the rally which iwa to learn from one another.

“Let us therefore leverage on todays’ meeting and be spiritually lifted thereby grow in the knowledge and service of Christ,” she said.
Reverend Cathrine Manthe who gave a brief history of the genesis of UCCSA, which at some point was christened London Missionary Society called on Sunday School teachers in all the six regions of Kolobeng, Bojanala, Macha, Moeding, Lephoi and Lesoso to work hard and teach students hymns that  formed the core of the church.

United Congregational Church of Southern Africa, according to Reverend Manthe, was founded on the principle of love where no form of discrimination was entertained.
As such she called on fellow congregants especially Sunday school teachers to inculcate the principle of love on leaners.        
“We are co-workers together with Christ and thus expected to acquaint ourselves with the principle of love in our service to fellow human beings,” she said.

She added that it was also imperative for UCCSA members to meaningfully spread the good news.
The three day rally was filled with numerous activities among them, story writing, concerts, Sunday service and many others.ENDS
