18 Apr 2017

Ms Goitsemodimo Mokgatle has vowed to use Mmankgodi Hope Inspired, a non-profit making organisation to nurture talent of orphaned and vulnerable children.

Ms Mokgatle said the organisation aimed to bring hope to children with disadvantaged background especially those from Mmankgodi and surrounding areas.

“All children are born with talents and gifts from God and have the potential to influence the future and promote behavioural change through their many talents such as poetry, acting and singing,” she said

She said they occasionally met with the children, giving them opportunities to showcase their talents through tasks that would help them to grow.

Ms Mokgatle, a teacher by profession and a member of the Apostolic Faith Mission Church said she was driven by passion and word of God to help hence registering the organisation in 2014.

She said her organisation worked with guidance and counselling teachers as well as the village social worker to identify vulnerable children and how they could help them.

Further, she said some children had special needs and required help with school uniforms and toiletries.

She said lack of guidance, motivation and poor living standards could deny children from disadvantaged backgrounds to realise their purpose in life.

She urged all to work together making sure that children were afforded a conducive environment for learning. BOPA
