17 Apr 2017

The acting paramount chief of Barolong, Kgosi Botiki Motshegare has lauded the King Solomon Evangelical Church for continuing to touch the lives of many people.

Speaking during the official opening of the church’s Easter celebrations in Molapowabojang on Friday, he said the church under the leadership of Prophet Boitshwarelo Solomon had only 30 members during its inception in 2013, but has now grown in leaps and bounds because of its commitment to preaching the word of God.

He thanked the church for resembling God as they converted the masses who were living miserable lives to know the kingdom of Jesus Christ.

Easter was celebrated under the theme: God has anointed me, which is in the book of  Isaiah Chapter 61, Verse 1. “The spirit of the sovereign Lord is on me because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.

He has sent me to bind up or rather heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to release from darkness and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.

Kgosi Motshegare challenged the church to increase its spiritual pedal and spread wings to mental hospitals, prisons and alcohol outlets to deliver people from the bondage of sin and the chains of the devil.

He encouraged the church to continue preaching the word of God to win souls through different communication channels as the situation may dictate.

He said God was for prosperity and expressed optimism that the church would grow even more and help the nation to be morally sound.

He challenged the youth, saying they were the future leaders of the country.

Kgosi Motshegare encouraged people to love one another, noting that the basis of Christianity was love. He added that it was God’s command for Christians to love each other.

He also said God has anointed those who tap into his power for the masses to be rescued from pathetic situations, adding that there was no situation which God could not change and that there was no problem God could not solve.

The King Solomon Evangelical Church Easter celebrations were action packed as song birds from the praise and worship teams kept the congregation on their toes. BOPA
