BAC Nxakato enrich partnership

Botswana Accountancy College (BAC) has signed a Memorandum Of Understanding with Nxakato Junior Secondary School of Sowa following the college’s pledge to adopt the school in 2015.
Speaking at the signing ceremony on April 6 in Sowa, executive director for BAC Ms Serty Leburu said BAC as tertiary education provider whose mandate was to contribute to the sustainable and diversified human resource development and advancement in knowledge ,they found it important to partner with Nxakato.
She added that through the partnership, BAC’s aim is to make an impactful and positive difference in the lives of the Sowa town community and surrounding areas adding that with commitment to excellence and stakeholder relevance in teaching, research and community engagement the college continues to engage with various communities around the country to contribute to their development and sustainability.
Ms Leburu therefore noted that the signing of the Memorandum Of Understanding symbolises the college’s commitment to continue partnering with the school management to improve the welfare of the students.
Nxakato school head Ms Ruth Higgins said the signing of the memorundum was a step forward towards sustainable development of high quality education and excellence among students.
She said BAC and Nxakato JSS partnership would help increase good, conducive environment to proper education and expanding students’ education territory as well as to put Sowa Town on the map.
She said the memorundum commited the two institutions to share information and collaborate to help strengthen the educational pathways which would enable students to achieve their career aspiration.
In addition, she highlighted that since their partnership started two years ago in 2015, the school has seen an improvement in examination results. ENDS
