EFB DONATES PARKING LOT 1
27 Mar 2017
As part of their mission to serve the community they live in, Evangelical Fellowship Botswana (EFB) in Jwaneng built a parking lot for Mpule Kwelagobe Children Centre recently.
The chairperson of the organisation, Mr Paul Matthys said they met with the centre management and thought of a sustainable project that will leave a legacy.
“The coordinator told us that they have materials for the parking lot but they were limited by funds to build one. We decided to build the structure as the centre holds children’s welfare at heart,” he explained.
He said they managed to construct the parking lot with the help of other pastors and church members.
The centre coordinator Ms Bonolo Sethibang expressed gratitude explaining that the centre gives temporary accommodation for children with special complications and circumstances.
She said they were faced with many challenges since the centre was a non-profitable organisation and the parking lot was among the list.
Jwaneng deputy district commissioner Mr Lesang Kgomoetsile applauded EFB for the gesture and explained that it would go a long way in helping the centre. He implored the public to continue with a helping hand especially to Mpule Kwelagobe Centre.
“Recently, the centre received a donation of fridges from one of the mine companies and some have promised to renovate the centre to the tune of P5 million as a way of reaching out to this children,” he said. ENDS
