Three Envoys present Letters of Credence

Three envoys from Denmark, Slovakia and Romania have presented their letters of credence to the President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama.
Ambassador of Denmark, Ms Tine Thygesen expressed gratitude for having been assigned to Botswana and highlighted that during her tenure she would be focused on strengthening relations between the two countries.
She said her focus would be on energy and water initiatives.
For her part, Slovakia’s Ambassador Ms Monika Tomasovicova said Botswana stands out as one of the most stable country, saying Botswana and Slovakia have moved forward in political aspects.
Ms Tomasovicova said Botswana has a lot to offer in terms of economic relations, adding that she is to promote visits of Slovakians to Botswana to find opportunities.
Ambassador Marius Boranescu of Romania, for his part, said his focus would be to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries.
He said Botswana has made strides in technology and social development, adding that Botswana is moving fast in terms of development.
He said there were viable opportunities to enhance mutual knowledge and understanding between the two countries through the establishment of political consultation as well as through bilateral cooperation. ENDS
