Youth should utilise opportunities

A 27-year-old Youth Development Fund (YDF) beneficiary, Mr Mandla Masala of Tatisiding has appealed to fellow youths to open their minds and scan all the available business opportunities for the betterment of their lives.
Mr Masala is convinced that Batswana live in a country that has limitless opportunities, where the sky is the limit; as such the youth as the future leaders of the country should make hay while the sun shines.
He runs a small stock business at Tatisiding farms, thanks to YDF.
Speaking to BOPA in an interview, the young man explained that government was trying by all means to uplift Batswana by introducing various economic programmes that are geared towards improving their livelihoods.
He therefore explained the need for the youth to utilise such programmes as an effective relief to overcome the spectre of unemployment.
“When the youth actively make use of these programmes, issues of abject poverty and high rate of unemployment could be reduced or solved completely,” he observed
He explained that time has come for Batswana to consider ways of doing away with the dependency syndrome on government.
Mr Masala stressed that such programmes should come in handy in efforts to establish new businesses, hence playing an active role in the growth of the country’s economy
through advancing the objectives of employment opportunities.
He implored the youth to develop passion, determination and love for their future endeavours in order for them to succeed in the world of business.
Mr Masala explained that taking risks in life is a gateway to be on top of a situation, but all that is needed is to consult with the relevant people in pursuit of business ideas. ENDS
