Kebonang attends ministers summit

Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Advocate Sadique Kebonang will travel to Toronto, Canada and United States of America on March 4 -12 to attend the second annual International Minesa Ministers Summit scheduled for March 6, 2017.

A press release from the ministry says the summit has been organised by the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) and World Economic Forum for leading companies and organisations in mineral exploration.

The release says the summit will provide an opportunity for Botswana to explore bilateral relations in mining with Canada.

It also says Advocate Kebonang has been invited to meet and address US policy makers and private sector investors at the 3rd Annual Powering for Africa Summit from March 8 to 10 in Washington DC.

It further says the minister will attend investment and policy briefings with representatives of government and US House of Representatives in public sector round tables.

The release says the summit will afford the minister an opportunity to meet world’s leading companies and global investors to underpin ministry’s objectives and Botswana‘s economy for possible future partnerships.

The minister will be accompanied by ministry officials and is expected back home on March 13, 2017. Ends
