Ministry of Defence, Justice and Security says it has noticed that that there is a Facebook account created in the names of the Minister of Defence Justice and Security, MP for Bobonong, Mr Shaw Kgathi.
A news release from the ministry states that the ministry would like to categorically state that the fraudulent Facebook page or account does not belong to the minister.
“The imposter of this fake account is said to be sending friend requests to innocent people and claims that he was in Casablanca, Morocco for a relational file between the two countries,” states the release.
It further states that Minister Kgathi is a high profile individual who would not stoop to the level of hiding behind facebook and chow people’s hard earned money for his own good.
It states that it is also evident that the culprit writes political statements which reveal that the motive is from adversaries who are in a mission to blemish and denounce the minister.
“We would like to warn the culprits that whoever does such an act is liable to face punishment once caught because deceitful counterfeit of one’s identity in pursuit of selfish desires is a crime punishable by law,” states the release.ENDS
