Member of Parliament for Nkange,Mr Edwin Batshu has implored parents to set themselves principles of raising their children to be God fearing people.
Speaking at the launch of a signage for St. John Gospel Church in Tutume recently, Mr Batshu, also minister of Nationality, Immigration and Gender Affairs said generally Batswana had been God fearing nation who uphold the spirit of botho, respect and tolerance towards one another.
That, he said had been a result that they respect the word of God and put it in practice.
He therefore urged parents to continue with the fundamental principle that was enhanced by the elders from way back even at the time there were not many churches like today.
Mr Batshu further added that by taking their children to church when they go for worship, parents would help their children to find a meaning in life.
Meanwhile, Bishop Elias Modise of St. John Gospel Church said it had been 10 years that they had been in existence and through the years they ensured that they preached the gospel. ENDS
