Khama interacts with residents

President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama donated an array of items to some disadvantaged members of Tamasane after holding a brief meeting at the village on Thursday.
As part of his regular tours of the country, President Khama told the resident that his visit was just to interact and donate food hampers and other items to the elderly, destitute and the orphaned children.
The President, who was en-route to the official opening of Goo-Moremi Resort, served the elderly and children some soup and bread in his soup kitchen endeavour. He donated 76 blankets which would be distributed by village leadership to the destitute, elderly and orphaned children.
The President also donated 30 chairs for use by the villagers especially at kgotla gatherings. President Khama also donated solar charged lights, 10 Bibles and a soccer kit to the village team.
Area Member of Parliament, Mr Kefentse Mzwinila hailed President Khama for his interaction with his electorate. He expressed gratitude to the President for sparing time to share with his constituents, who hitherto, had been calling for the President’s visit.
Mr Mzwinila, who is also an Assistant Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sport and Culture Development commended President Khama for the roving torch which he opined had united the nation and culminated in recent downpours. ENDS
