Karowe mine donates

Karowe Mine employees with the support of the mine have donated school bags, toiletries and food hampers worth P10 000 to the underprivileged and orphans in Letlhakane.

The general manager of Karowe Mine, Mr Gerald Ndlovu said recently  that the goods were donated to 20 orphans. The school bags contained mathematical instruments, rulers, shoe polish, tooth paste, tooth brush and washing powders amongst others.

He said the donation was an effort by employees to try and reach out to the communities within which they live.

Mr Ndlovu commended the employees for demonstrating the spirit of compassion towards the underprivileged, saying it was essential for companies to establish good working relations within communities of their areas of operation.

One of the beneficiaries, Ms Gaokgabelwe Selefo applauded the mine employees for the gesture saying it was evident they had the interest of the community at heart.

Community development officer, Mr Jenamiso Chose urged the beneficiaries to utilise the donated goods for their intended purposes.

Area councillor Mr Molemi Galeragwe hailed the mine for their assistance. BOPA
