Pioneer Border weighbridge not working

Ministry of Transport and Communications advises transporters and drivers that the weighbridge at Pioneer Border Gats is not working.
A press release states that the weighbridge was struck by lightning on January 26, 2017 and is currently unusable.
It further states that efforts to repair the bridge are underway as it is expected to be operational by March 3, 2017.
Truck owners are also advised to weigh vehicles at the point of departure or at alternative weighbridges along the route before Pioneer border or routes with weighbridges to verify weights for compliance with the legal load limits. BOPA
