BDF releases names of plane crash victims

Botswana Defence Force (BDF) has released the names of the plane crash victims. A press release from BDF has stated that the three deceased are two pilots; Captain Lebogang Dinyao, who hails from Serowe in the Central District and Captain Rinick Makobo from Tshidilamolomo in the Borolong District as well as a technician, Corporal Dintle Dichaba who hails from Shashe Bridge near Tonota in the Central District.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been finalised.
On Thursday last week, the Botswana Defence Force CASA 212 aircraft crashed in the area around Thebephatshwa Air Base.
The aircraft crashed while enroute from Thebephatshwa to Gaborone in the evening of February 9.
Investigations to determine the cause of the accident have not yet been concluded. ENDS
