The Minister of Health and Wellness Ms Dorcas Makgato is in  Geneva, Switzerland for the World Health Organisation (WHO) meeting.

A press release from the ministry of health and wellness states that the minister has been invited by WHO to participate at the Rehabilitation 2030: A call for Action meeting from February 4- 9.

It states that the objectives of the meeting include raising awareness about the substantial and ever-increasing unmet need for rehabilitation worldwide and calling for coordinated and concerted global action towards strengthening rehabilitation services in health systems.

The statement notes that the meeting will result in the endorsement of joint commitments to action to promote and strengthen rehabilitation up to 2030.

It further says during the Minister's absence, the Assistant minister of health and wellness, Mr Dikgang Makgalemele will be acting as the minister. ENDS
