Human resource contraints hindrance - Tshireletso
06 Feb 2017
There are no immediate plans to increase the number of Problem Animal Control (PAC) officers in Kgalagadi district due to resource (both human and material) constraints.
Responding to a question in Ntlo ya Dikgosi, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Ms Botlogile Tshireletso said due to the limited numbers of PAC officers, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park staff members would continue to attend to reports in BORAVAST area.
In addition, Ms Tshireletso said three Tirelo Setshaba participants have been engaged at Vaalhoek to help expedite the attendance of reports.
Kgosi Isaac Titus wanted to know when the Minister of Enviroment Natural Resources Conservation and Tourism would consider increasing the number of animal control officers in Kgalagadi from four to six and for two officers to be stationed at Transfrontier Park to improve service delivery. ENDS
