05 Feb 2017
The Water Utilities Corporation (WUC) is working to bring to normal water situation in Bobonong.
The village was left grappling with water shortage following a breakdown of the water pump station located on the outskirts of the village along Molalatau road.
In an interview, the corporation’s water works foreman, Ms Chedza Pheto said the two water boreholes that fed into the pump station were functional but the fault was with the pump station.
The problem according to Ms Pheto was being attended to with hope that the situation would be resolved by Friday (February 3).
She however, said different areas would recover at different times because of the water pressure and advised that water be used sparingly
Among those affected were Bobonong Primary Hospital. Schools and businesses were also not spared.
One villager, Ms Lesedi Marope said she had to scurry around for water to bathe her school going children and herself resulting in her turning up late for work. BOPA
