Anglican prays for Khama
24 Jan 2017
President Lt Gen. Dr Seretse Khama Ian Khama received blessings from members of the Anglican Church yesterday.
Bishop Metlhayotlhe Beleme said the church saw it fit to pray for the President in order for him to effectively execute his duties in 2017.
The bishop also noted that President Khama could not go on without the help and power of prayer since the country was faced with challenges such as unemployment and youth deviant behaviour, among other things.
Bishop Beleme said the President needed the nation’s support and direction from God to lead the country.
President Khama appreciated the prayer, noting that the country would be a better place if more people could acknowledge the power of God.
In appreciation, the President presented the bishop with a P100 000 cheque for renovation of the Cathedral of the Holycross. BOPA
